Inuuteq Storch (b. 1989) lives and works in Greenland. He is a graduate of the International Center of Photography in New York and of Fatamorgana school of photography in Copenhagen. Inuuteqs work is wide in genres (own photography and archive work and methods) but the content has common in being about the identity of Kalaallit from Greenland. He has exhibited in Greenland, Denmark, The United States, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Canada, Italy, Colombia, Dubai, New Zealand, Poland, and England. Inuuteq published the photobooks Porcelain Souls (2018, Konnotation), Flesh (2019, Disko Bay) and John Møller – Mirrored, Portraits of Good Hope (2021, Roulette Russe), Keepers of the Ocean (2022, Disko Bay), Necromancer (2024)
Join us for an evening of film & music by Inuit at Astro Hill Theatre on June 18 at 7:00 PM
This special Pisiit Film Night brings together powerful Indigenous voices through three unique screenings: Zacharias Kunuk's Unikkaat Sivunittinnit (Messages From the Past), a work-in-progress documentary on Pisiit by Charlotte Qamaniq, and Johannes Ujo Müller's acclaimed documentary Erfalasorput (Our Flag).
The evening will also feature live performances of traditional Pisiit songs and an intimate acoustic concert by Greenlandic multi-talented musician Jaaku Sørensen.
These films and performances celebrate Inuit culture and the living traditions that continue to connect Indigenous communities across generations.
