Alianait 2026!

Main Stage Opening Line Up! Alianait is proud to present an all Indigenous main stage to showcase artists from Nunavut / Sápmi / Nunavik. The night will open with Qulliit and Pisiit presentation, then move to a blend of rock and hip-hop with Arviat's own Jacob Okatsiak, then Hilda and Tuomas from Sápmi will bring their truly unique blend of electronic music and traditional Sami joik. To end the night, Naja P will debut her new beautiful band for Iqaluit audiences. See you there!

Saturday at Alianait will feature some of the top talents in the Circumpolar world! As always, we will open the show with Pisiit and Ayaya songs from across the north. Ivaana and Andachan will follow with music from their highly acclaimed collaboration. Then we will present the Alianait Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts. After Tarrak will have his first full solo set in Iqaluit and will no doubt rip up the Alianait stage. Lastly Beatrice Deer will close the night with a mix of songs from her new album Inuit Legends along with Nunavik classics! Alianait! 

This year’s Alianait theme, Pisiit!! Traditional songs, drum dancing, performance art, and story telling celebrates the living voices of Indigenous cultures through music, storytelling, performance, and art. At Alianait Arts Festival 2026, Inuit artists from across Inuit Nunaat come together alongside Sámi and Māori participants in a vibrant cultural exchange that bridges generations, traditions, and communities. From ancient vocal traditions to contemporary artistic expression, Alianait invites audiences into unforgettable experiences where local and international artists meet, collaborate, and celebrate the strength and beauty of Indigenous culture.
